Revolutionising Soil Health and Capturing Carbon

Based in North Lincolnshire, we produce and package our biochar from forestry waste sourced in the local area. We don't believe in chopping down healthy trees to make our biochar.

Carbon Bloom Benefits

Holds Water

Our biochar retains water in your soil better, keeping your plants hydrated for longer.

Easy To Use

Mix with soil or compost as a natural alternative to plant food up to an equal parts ratio.

Locks in Nutrients

Increases the microbial activity of your soil due to its microscopic sponge-like structure - locking in nutrients which creating an environment for your plants to thrive.

Stores Carbon

When you use biochar, you are also storing carbon in the ground and if you leave it there it will last hundreds, if not thousands of years!

Did you know...

Carbon bloom biochar will store 3 kg of carbon dioxide per 1kg of carbon bloom biochar - that's the equivalent to taking a car off the road for 10 MILES!

Simple add 5-20% biochar into your soil to reap the benefits! Our 1.5L pouch of biochar will improve up to 30L of multipurpose compost.

Or add into your own composting, add 1 or 2 handfuls into your compost bin when you add food and brown waste to boost microbes and create a supercharged compost!

What does
'capturing carbon' mean?

Biomass

Biochar starts life as biomass – things like tree and wood waste. These naturally absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere as they grow, locking it in as carbon. In fact, wood alone is around 48% carbon!

Gasification

When we put woodchip through our advanced gasification process, the weight drops by a massive 80%, but the carbon content jumps to over 80%. What’s left is a super-stable biochar that won’t break down for hundreds of years.

Unlike composting, which releases methane (a gas 28 times worse for global warming than CO₂), our process burns off harmful emissions, using them to create heat instead.

90% carbon

Once created, biochar needs to be locked into soil or other materials like concrete to keep that carbon stored for good. And here’s the impact: 10kg of Carbon Bloom Biochar with 90% carbon content locks away 9kg of pure carbon – equivalent to removing 33kg of CO₂ from the atmosphere.
